Plastic Balls Manufacturer Introduces The Use Skills Of Forged Steel Balls

  Messages & Comments

Plastic Balls Manufacturer introduces the difference between cast steel balls and forged steel balls

1.The diameter of the mill is large, and the impact toughness of the steel ball is high. The impact toughness of high chromium steel balls with higher wear resistance in cast steel balls is much lower than that of forged steel balls with basically the same wear resistance. The raw materials used in the two processes are different.

2. Due to different materials and processing techniques, the inner and outer hardenability of cast steel balls are also different. The hardness of the steel ball is significantly different between the inside and the outside during the production process. Forged steel balls are reasonably matched with high carbon manganese chromium and other alloying elements to produce heat treatment hardenability. Strong, the difference between internal and external hardness is small, and due to the difference in impact value, it can be determined that forged balls are more fragile than cast balls.

3. If the mill performs wet grinding to produce mineral powder and immerses steel balls in water, the steel balls are required to have a certain degree of corrosion resistance. The forged ball contains high-carbon manganese chromium and other alloying elements, and the matching is reasonable, which can improve the metal during the grinding process. The electrode and potential in the coating process, while the carbon and manganese content of the cast ball is usually lower than that of the forged ball. The corrosion resistance of chromium and carbon-manganese is not as good as that of the forged ball, and the internal metallographic structure is martensite after production. The eutectic carbide is different from the martensite and tempered martensite of the metallographic structure of the forged steel ball, so it is easily corroded by the slurry.

4. The crushing rate of forged steel balls is small, while the crushing rate of cast steel balls is large. Generally, the crushing rate of cast steel balls is 3%, and the crushing rate of forged steel balls is 1%. Due to the low pulverization rate, the powder output rate of the mill is increased. And reduce the cost of beneficiation, improve the production efficiency of the rolling mill.

5. Because the metallographic structure of the forged steel ball is fine needle-like martensite, the hardness is high, and under the same wear resistance as the cast steel ball, the price of the forged steel ball is much lower than that of the cast steel ball, and the grinding cost Lower.

6. Forged steel balls are quenched with water. First, increase the hardness of the steel ball to the level required by the customer, and then use the tempering heat treatment technology to reduce the hardness to the level required by the customer. The hardness of the surface and the core is uniform. In this process, the roundness is not easy to lose, and due to improper placement of the gate system, the casting ball is prone to shrinkage at the gate. Although the hardness will increase after quenching, it is easy to lose roundness during use, so the shrinkage part wears quickly. During the grinding process, the grinding efficiency is low, and the particle size and fineness of the powder are not uniform. Therefore, the forged steel ball will not lose its roundness during use, and compared with the last ball, the quality of the grinding powder has a great advantage.
